The marketspace
2020 saw the world come across one of the most difficult times in human history, a pandemic, hit hard world wide and the job market did not stayed alone in these convoluted times. At the beginning millions of people lost their jobs. However, what once seemed it may last for ever, re-opening became sooner than expected and the world became hungry of talent again.
The opportunity
New job opportunities rose everywhere and the great ressignation, a movement of more than 1 million people who changed career paths during the pandemic, made clear that hiring needed to be updated.
The Challenge
With hundred or thousands of new applications companies saw their talent pools filled with those who had hope in this new post-pandemic world. Accomodating those many applications efficiently became a hurdle.
The solution
Codelosophy was encomended to build an MVP of VidHire, the first video swiping candidate curation tool. Using top-noch javascript technologies we developed a progressive web application capable of handling video while swipping through profiles made entirely of unique personalized code.
The Results
VidHire became the first app to succesfully prove possible a better way to do hiring. While other tools focused on the candidate’s hard skills, VidHire allowed recruiters to preview a quick presentation video while swipping the candidates list to efficiently navigate through thousands of applications in a fun way.
